Hazelnut

The hazelnuts, which are consumed as fresh and dried snacks throughout the year in autumn, are from Birch. The hazelnut fruit consists of a brown hard outer shell and a seed called a hazelnut kernel or kernel surrounded by a light brown membrane inside it.
